Notice from Department of Revenue:

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Attached you will find a copy of our 2020 notice to jurisdictions outlining the additional requirement they must satisfy in order to be eligible to receive a homestead exemption reimbursement. As we have done in the past, we are providing this information to you in hopes that you will forward this information to your constituents. Please note, we will no longer be providing a hard copy of this notification to each jurisdiction.

The compliance requirements changed in 2015, in accordance with HB 37 (2014 Regular Session).  Please review the attached document for further information.

This requirement applies to all counties, and the jurisdictions within (cities, school districts), that are completing their reappraisal updates in the current year. Below is a TENTATIVE list of counties scheduled to update this year (and affected jurisdictions within the counties).

PLEASE NOTE:  Given the disruptions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, counties included in this current update list may yet avail themselves of the opportunity to postpone their update.  In the event a county does postpone their update, the county, and jurisdictions within, would not be subject to this requirement until their actual update year.  However, please let me know so I can update my records.
