PARKING: Parking is available in the lots east of the Capitol at the corner of President and High Streets, along nearby roadways (except for reserved spaces) or at the MAS office at 793 North President Street.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR CAPITOL VISIT DAY
- Meet MAS Staff on the First Floor of the Capitol by 9 a.m. for daily handouts and important updates.
- Once you receive your handouts, IMMEDIATELY identify the "circled" committee meetings you would like to attend. If there are issues discussed in the committee that will impact your county, find your legislator AFTER the meeting and ask them to either support or oppose the issue.
NOTE: The "circled" committees will be those most relevant to county governement, but feel free to visit other committee meetings during your visit.
- Remember to be recognized in the gallery by either the Senate or House Chamber.
- Please remember to invite your legislators to attend the luncheon at the MAS office at 12:00 noon. MAS will provide a legislative briefing.
