OSS Academy - Jail Administration Handout

The MAS Insurance Trust (“MASIT”) will host an inaugural Law Enforcement Risk Management Conference on April 26-27, 2023 at the Sheraton Refuge Hotel and Conference Center in Flowood, MS.

This conference is open to all Mississippi county officials, including sheriffs, deputies, jailers, training officers and other law enforcement personnel. County supervisors, board attorneys, county administrators, insurance agents and other county officials may also be interested in this two-day risk management training opportunity.

These educational sessions have been designed around law enforcement risks seen in Mississippi and nationally and will be led by industry experts. Our goal is to educate law enforcement personnel on the recent legal trends associated with these risks and to equip them with the knowledge to best protect themselves and the county from lawsuits.

Hotel block is available at the Sheraton Refuge Hotel until April 4, 2023. Please see the enclosed Registration Form and Tentative Agenda for more details. If you have any questions, contact Renada Skannal (rskannal@massup.org, 601.487.0652 Direct) or Stephanie Spangler (sspangler@massup.org) or call the MAS office at 601.353.2741.
