Mississippi Residents Mark $17 Million in Prescription Savings with Rx Discount Program
The Mississippi Association of Supervisors (MAS) and the Coast2Coast Rx program has saved Mississippi residents nearly $17 Million on their prescriptions with the Coast2Coast Rx Card.
Jackson, MS (PRWEB) June 29, 2016 - Madison County leads the list of counties with the most saved at over $5 Million. Hinds County has saved residents over $4 Million on their prescriptions since its launch. Yazoo County residents have saved over $3 Million. The Coast2CoastRx program has been implemented in 16 Mississippi Counties so far.
"The Mississippi Association of Supervisors has endorsed the Coast2Coast Rx program since its launch over three years ago. The Coast2CoastRx program continues to help those who cannot afford their prescriptions," said MAS Executive Director Derrick Surrette. Surrette added, "MAS is proud to offer the service of discounted prescriptions to Mississippi residents and their families." Mississippi Association of Supervisors has endorsed the Coast2CoastRx program and encourages all Mississippi counties and their residents to participate.
The Coast2Coast Rx card allows all Mississippi residents, regardless of income, age, or health status to participate in the program and save on teh cost of their medications. The program has saved cardholders throughout the nation an average of 60% in 2016 on the cost of prescription drugs. The Rx card is distributed free of charge and may be used at all pharmacy chains and most independent pharmacies in Mississippi and includes over 60,000 drugs in its formulary. Residents who would like to participate in the free Coast2CoastRx prescription savings program can print a card here. In addition residents can call 1-800-931-8872 to obtain a card via regular mail.
